From Stallone To Schwarzenegger

That's such a nice sentiment Sly. I am going to share it with his nephew Patrick Knapp Schwarzenegger who is my friend and who I worked with intimately at Bloom, Dekom, et al. directly for Jake Bloom and directly on both of your contracts when each of you were at the height of your careers. You are both legendary action stars just from a different origin. The fans love both of you. Being in Italy with Tony Munafo and Raffaella DeLaurentiis and watching you work up close on the set at Cinecitta Movie Studio was one of the highlights of my life.

Beautiful Images; Positive Thoughts

Fill Your Life With Joy Not Despair

I am sure you’ve heard the saying “just get over it.” This is an ineffective way to deal with an issue, event or person’s behavior toward you that has negatively impacted you. As human beings we have emotions and the things that happen to us in our lives affect us. Pretending that something that affected you did not is only pushing that experience and associated emotion deep into your subconscious mind and it will inevitably surface in your behavior or self-destructive choices. People process their pain through many channels like anger, isolation, over eating, drugs, alcohol, sexual promiscuity, excessive spending, etc.

So if something is bothering you, don’t ignore it. Make sure to let it out by talking about it with someone willing to listen in non-judgment or writing about it in a journal. I have been writing in a journal since my early 20s. Let it out for as long as it takes, then move on and focus on your blessings. You deserve to live a life filled with joy not despair.

Let Freedom Ring

LIFE, LIBERTY AND THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS…

Happy 4th Of July From Sylvester Stallone

In Observance Of Independence Day 2017

These are beautiful, authentic sentiments I originally wrote and posted on July 4, 2014. I did not borrow these thoughts or words from anyone or anywhere. I wrote them from the heart and I have been re-posting them since as the overall message is very powerful...

Today is a traditional American holiday deeply rooted in history with freedom as the theme.  What does freedom mean to you?

Freedom means everything to me.  Freedom to think, to feel and to be. Freedom to express myself verbally, physically, emotionally and sexually. Freedom to be me and express myself through fashion, hair styles, music and dance.  Freedom to laugh and to love who I want and how I want.  Freedom to love myself and honor my feelings. Freedom to choose and make decisions. Freedom to say yes, to say no and to say good-bye if I need to.  Freedom to live how I want to live.

Freedom from evil, hatred and injustice.  Freedom from negativity, conflict, turmoil and toxic people. Freedom from debt, control, oppression, fear, self-loathing, self-doubt, obsession, addiction, affliction, illness and the past.  One of the wisest things I have ever heard is “Your tormentor today is yourself left over from yesterday.” Let go of the past; including painful events and the people who hurt you. Take the shackles off yourself and go and live a beautiful life no matter what obstacles come your way.  God bless you and God bless America.

A Love Letter From A Father To His Gay Son

This is a beautiful love letter from my good friend John Marzka to his son Jordan. Since we all perceive messages through our own unique filter based on our belief system and how we were raised, take what you will from this letter. The message conveyed to me is the unconditional love that a parent has for his child. We all want to be acknowledged and understood. Every human being deserves to live their life in a dignified manner. And these powerful messages deserve the attention of my blog being viewed all around the world.

OG Bodybuilding Diva Rachel McLish

It is hard to believe that Rachel McLish, the original bodybuilding diva, has turned 62 years old. [For those of you who don't know who she is, she is on the right holding the 2.] Rachel’s beauty and elegance in the competitive world of female bodybuilding made it okay for women to lift weights while still embracing their femininity conquering stereotypes that weightlifting is only for men. Her positive attitude about aging is an excellent example for all people, in particular women, who are getting older to repudiate ageism and not allow it to affect their self-esteem. Aging is a natural progression of life.

Attorney General Sessions Announces Creation of National Public Safety Partnership to Combat Violent Crime

As the Department of Justice continues its efforts to fulfill President Trump’s commitment to reducing violent crime in America, Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced today that 12 cities are joining the Department’s newly organized National Public Safety Partnership (PSP). The announcement came during the opening session of a national summit organized by the Attorney General’s Task Force on Crime Reduction and Public Safety. The summit convened federal, state and local law enforcement to discuss how to support and replicate successful local violent crime reduction efforts.
“Turning back the recent troubling increase in violent crime in our country is a top priority of the Department of Justice and the Trump Administration, as we work to fulfill the President’s promise to make America safe again,” said Attorney General Sessions. “The Department of Justice will work with American cities suffering from serious violent crime problems. There is no doubt that there are many strategies that are proven to reduce crime. Our new National Public Safety Partnership program will help these communities build up their own capacity to fight crime, by making use of data-driven, evidence-based strategies tailored to specific local concerns, and by drawing upon the expertise and resources of our Department.”
The Justice Department created PSP and the task force in response to President Trump’s February 9, 2017, Executive Order charging the agency with leading a national effort to combat violent crime. The partnership provides a framework for enhancing federal support of state, local and tribal law enforcement officials and prosecutors as they aggressively investigate and pursue violent criminals, specifically those involved in gun crime, drug trafficking and gang violence.
