It saddens me to announce that my special friend Franco Columbu passed away today August 30, 2019 in Italy. It was reported that he suffered a heart attack while swimming and consequently drowned just off the coast of San Teodoro, Sardinia, Italy. And I just got the chills writing this as "Teodoro" is my late father Efrain's middle name. Franco was so accomplished. During the span of his life he was a boxer, Olympic weightlifter, a powerlifter holding numerous world records, a professional bodybuilder winning the ultimate title of Mr. Olympia once in 1976 and again in 1981, and one of the strongest men in the world. He was a licensed Chiropractor, an author, an actor, a magazine cover model many times over and the best friend of The Oak (aka Arnold Schwarzenegger). He was a husband and a father and my friend on Facebook. Above is the last post I received from him just yesterday.
My heart is broken Sardinian Strongman. Jacqueline Sebiane

Mike Sorrentino aka "Big Daddy Sitch" looking swole from the Federal Correction Institution in Otisville, New York. He did the crime and is respectfully doing his time. And his positive attitude seems to be getting him through.
Yes, I, Jacqueline Sebiane, am obsessed with classical music. Just like the ocean, it is a part of my soul. And child prodigy Alma Deutscher (composer, pianist and violinist) inexplicably knocks it out of the park.
This is the world premiere of Alma's piano concerto in July 2017 at the Carinthian Summer Festival with Vienna Chamber Orchestra conductor Joji Hattori.
Alma's description of I - Allegro, II - Adagio and III - Allegro giocoso; the three movements of the concerto:
The first movement represents the conflict between darkness and light. The orchestral introduction has just two happy bars of E-flat major in the beginning, but it then plunges into darkness on the third bar. The rest of the introduction is in minor, but the entrance of the piano brings back the light, with a much happier version of the orchestral theme. The darkness tries to come back at some points, especially at the very end, but the light finally overcomes it. The main theme of the second movement came to me when I was very sad, I was improvising on my grandmother’s piano a few days after she died. The movement is in a rather unusual key, B-flat minor, which is perhaps not so comfortable for the orchestra, but it's the key in which I first heard the melody in my head, and I did not want to change it. The third movement is a set of variations on a theme which I heard in the middle of the night when I was eight years old. During the movement, there is quite a lot of argument between the soloist and the orchestra. But in the end, the soloist and the orchestra make peace, and continue playing happily together.
K9 snuggle! "Arko" is a 2-year-old Dutch Shepard from the Netherlands who LOVES catching bad guys as a member of LVMPD's K9 Section. But the job can get a little stressful for everyone involved -- and that's why a good snuggle and pep-talk at the start of every shift is helpful. Arko and Sgt. Eric Hutchason make a great team. Good luck guys!! And thank you for helping our department take a bite out of crime.
Can you help identify this specific white van? It was involved in a Road Rage homicide on I-15 northbound entering Las Vegas on Monday evening, August 5th. It is a very distinctive make with a specific window pattern and spare tire cover. The occupant(s) shot and killed a motorist as he drove into Las Vegas to celebrate his birthday. These are surveillance camera images of the actual van involved in the killing. Can you help us identify a suspect or suspects? Call LVMPD's Homicide Section at (702) 828-3521, email them at homicide@lvmpd.com, or remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555.
